Our project is growing! We now have over 60,000 daily active users. Thank you!
MySky is a user-controllable feed for BlueSky, designed for transparency and constructive conversation.
But as we promoted the project, we discovered that people were confused by the name. “GreenEarth” is a pun — we’re building infrastructure for BlueSky, get it? If you do, you’re in the minority. Most people thought we were a feed about climate change.
That’s why we’ve changed the name of our flagship feed to MySky. The open source, open science research project behind MySky (run out of UC Berkeley and Georgetown University) will continue to be called GreenEarth for now.
Our new name is meant to signify that you, the user, are finally in control of your feed.
